Ranadin is simplistic RPG game, turn-based with an overhead perspective and CGA graphics. The main object of the game seems to be to survive long enough to do anything, since in my tests, I generally get killed by a skeleton warrior or other monster shortly after starting the game. There is a backstory (in the included manual) but generally you're intended to simply explore, collect items/treasure, and yeah, try not to die. There seems to be a decently large world to explore (I found a semi-hidden cave that's inhabited by some goblins, or something?) but you may have difficulty actually seeing much of it before meeting your untimely demise.
