Category description: Tetris was a revolutionary game designed by Alexey Pajitnov which addicted many with its simple yet fast-paced puzzle/action gameplay. It spawned numerous sequels and copycat games, some of which added improvements to the original formula, while others took the game in radical new directions. Most of them, however, just copied the original game without many changes at all, even using the name "Tetris" which is technically owned by the Tetris company. Oops!
