Although it never mentions the name of the game that it unabashedly copies, Last of the Free is a Defender clone. If you've played Defender (or any of the other knock-offs like Jumpjet) you'll instantly recognize the layout. Your mission is to kill aliens and save humans. Aliens will attempt to abduct the humans; you need to try to kill the aliens before they're successful, while avoiding getting killed yourself! The graphics are decent enough, but the controls take some getting used to, both the strange key layout as well as the somewhat awkward way that your ship handles. It makes it difficult sometimes to hit your targets.
