Blackstar - Agent of Justice is a first-person perspective graphical adventure game with a detective theme. There have been murders in your city, and you must investigate them. The game uses its own proprietary user interface, which works decently but may not be fully intuitive at first. (Tip: Click your character's jacket to select an inventory item, then click the item in its box to use it.) Overall it looks decent, but I wasn't able to get the sound working despite following the instructions in the included SOUND.DOC. The unskipable intro is a bit tedious. Nonetheless worth checking out for fans of adventure games. (The author notes that this game could be rated PG, whereas the sequel available only via registration is definitely R-material.)
