Talisman (no relation to the RPG board game) is a text adventure with graphical still pictures. You type in commands ("LOOK WALL", "TALK KING"), collect and use items, and move through a variety of different environments. Like other Polarware adventure games, it's presented in CGA graphics mode and features decent art. Also like most other early adventure games it's not always apparent what the game wants you to type, so using a walkthrough is nothing to be ashamed of! Originally this was a commercially released game but Polarware has now re-released it for free.
