The original Space Invaders was released by Taito in Japan and North America in 1978. Eighteen years later, Spaced-Out Invades (aka "Kurt's Spaced Invaders" in an earlier version) was released for MS-DOS. And ... yeah, it's pretty much the same game. There is a slightly more colorful background, and some SoundBlaster sound effects, but no one would mistake this for any other game. It plays well enough and isn't super difficult, so if you like Space Invaders, then maybe try this.
