Project X is one of the early games from developer/publisher Team 17, who at this point had already created the Alien Breed series and later went on to create Worms. This game is a horizontally-scrolling shoot-em-up, originally made for the Amiga line of computers and later ported to DOS. Of course it takes place in space. The story is blah blah blah, shoot everything! The graphics and sounds are pretty good, and the animations are smooth. This game has a reputation for being quite difficult though, so be ready for a challenge in this demo version of the game, although high difficulty also tends to be characteristic of the genre in general.
