Pitman is an example of a simple game that works well. It's a remake of a game with a bit of a complicated history (see the Mobygames trivia page for more info) but it's amazing how much content is crammed into a 3k .com file! The object is to collect all of the diamonds (they look more like piles of gold to me). There are a couple of different kinds of blocks that you'll encounter, and you'll need to carefully plan your moves in order to get through the levels. The way you interact with the blocks takes some getting used to (they will react differently if you step from above than if you touch from the sides) but with 22 levels this game should keep you entertained for awhile. (Also love the little ASCII dance your character does when you complete a level.)
