Petris is a textmode clone of Tetris, with some odd mechanics thrown in. On "beginner" level, the pieces don't even move down automatically, you need to move them yourself. On "medium easy" level you have a 10 second timer, if you don't drop your piece fast enough it drops it for you. On "medium hard" you can't rotate the blocks (!). And on "expert" you have both a time limit and you can't rotate the blocks. It's definitely challenging, and the well is extra wide here which makes clearing lines difficult. Finally, there are two extra piece shapes, a cross piece and a small block. Definitely different but not necessarily fun?
