Operation Spacehog Level Editor (shledit.zip, 128k) - Allows you to edit the levels in the game. Read LEDIT.TXT for instructions.
Operation Spacehog is an enjoyable, well-designed and playable SHMUP. The game scrolls horizontally from left to right, and the gameplay is similar to Gradius in how you collect powerups to earn different abilities, and you can choose to use your powerup right away, or wait to collect more to fill your bar and choose a different ability. Unlike most space shooting games there is actually a story here, told both before the game and during cutscenes in-between the levels. You can even choose different ships to fly with slightly different attributes. It also features two player simultaneous play! The main problem with the game is that there seems to be a lot of the same stuff in the levels, but maybe I just didn't make it far enough. Basically if you like Gradius / Life Force kind of games you should definitely play it! (There is also a level editor available separately, download it above!)
Instructions:
By default, for player 1, the "shoot" key is Insert and the use powerup key is Delete, which is probably not optimal. The controls can be changed by going to Options at the main menu, then pressing Enter to change the keyboard controls. Or one of the two players can use a mouse instead.

Play Spacehog in Browser
Game will not be saved after closing your browser. Download and install the game if you want to save.
CTRL-F12 attempts to speed up game, CTRL-F11 attempts to slow it down. See Instructions section above for help playing the game!
