Larry Vales carries on the tradition of the lovable loser graphical adventure game character, made popular with such figures as Roger Wilco (Space Quest) and Guybrush Threepwood (Monkey Island). In this adventure game, you play intrepid Officer Vales as he and partner Charlie must find and destroy the "Lovely Rita 4200 Parking Enforcement Cyborg" which has gone berserk! This game was developed using the Adventure Game Studio GCS and feels very much like the later Sierra adventure games. There is a lot of humor in the game and it generally plays quite well, as long as you appreciate the author's comedic styles. Graphically the game does a decent job of representing the world, and since it uses the AGS engine, it plays quite well. (The downloadable file also includes a promo executable for the next Larry Vales game ...)
