Baseball is a text-mode baseball simulation / action game. The game looks like it would be a fun game using simple ASCII smileys to represent players, but the gameplay is not very compelling. Essentially one player pitches (using awkward key positions) and the other bats, trying to time their swing and hoping for the best. I'm not sure that the DOSBox cycles are set correctly (I have it at 200) but this at least makes it possible to hit the ball. It seems rather difficult to score any runs; it took many innings of trying before I (seemingly randomly) got a home run. Overall it's not that much fun but definitely unique. (Press F8 at the opening menu to skip the overly long and shrill PC speaker rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame".)
