Amazon is a graphical point-and-click adventure game using a similar engine to that seen in later Sierra and Lucasarts releases. This demo version allows you to get an idea of what the full (and apparently NOT AT ALL CHILDREN FRIENDLY) game is like. (One of the first things that will happen when you start playing is your character getting shot in the head. Fun times!) The production values are a bit cringe-worthy now but at the time having even short video clips and sound bites was pretty cool. (It also used Access Software's REALSOUND technology to play sounds through the PC speaker if you didn't have a sound card.) According to online reviews it's a decent adventure game if you can overlook a few design flaws.
