The Adventures of Lance is a very short adventure / maze game that I originally saw on the Shovelware Diggers YouTube series. The game was, according to its authors, written "for a graphics programming class at University of Michigan - Dearborn". Your goal is to rescue the sceptre that somehow kept prosperity flowing throughout the land. To do so, you must navigate two annoying mazes, the second maze including slaying a poorly drawn monster of some sort. Really there's not a lot to recommend here, but it's an interesting historical item that was never intended to be anything great, and yet due to the magic of online distribution (and even making its way onto shareware CD-ROMs), I'm thinking a large number of people actually played back in the day.
