I will tell you about the most forgotten about computer. The zx spectrum. It's load times may have been annoying and ridiculous but the system can be used to type things with zx spectrum printer and the zx spectrum word file. You can also make games with the zx spectrum. It is a good way to start making games and my favourit maniac miner versioin was for the zx spectrum. Although i am having problems with the game as it takes over 3 minutes to load the music is nicer than all of the other versions and simcity 1 was the best on the spectrum. I just liked how everything was layed out which is a lot better than the other versions. The zx spectrum might not be the best at gaming but it is still my third favourite os.
My 3 favourite oses are
1.windows 3.1x
2.windows 95
3.zx spectrum

If you are still looking for emulators for the spectrum:
This is a legit site with plenty of emulators, most are freeware.

Don't forget to take a look at their archive.

Auto Censor, nice one
Meh, Abyss, you can say warez, abandonware, legal(and some other words too) all you want... here:
warez, porn, cracks, serials, abandonware, legal, warez, porn cra... (etcetera)
The idea is not to ASK for warez, abandonware and so on because
a) warez and abandonware software=illegally distributed
b) emmzee might get erm... stupid emails from the bimbos at the ESA
So there!

AND in addition to that...
- Do not tell us how much you hate doing illegal things, or how bad warez is. (repeatedly)
- Do not ask questions over and over again that we have already answered.
Though i have constant criticisms for you, i DO admire your ability to not react when I, or other members get cranky with you...or call you hopeless.
What does the autocensor censor? Or is that dosraider being silly? I didn't think emmzee had put it into running...

Re: censoring
Something weird is going on here. I have lost 2 posts during my time here. I don't remember what the first was about anymore, but no. 2 was in this thread 2-3 hours ago.

The "autocensor" (it's called "Word Censoring" in PHPBB) is where certain words are replaced with *****'s. No words are currently censored ... mainly because we don't want to unnecessarily restrict people's use of language (obscenity is less of a "cut and dry" thing and more of a "I'll know it when I see it" thing).
There are, however, two hacks installed to try to prevent spam. One is "Spam Words", which allows us to prevent posts containing certain words. This is not automatic, we manually select which words (phrases) to block. Generally I've used this to block phrases (ie instead of blocking "sex" I've blocked phrases like "___ _____ sex") or names of pharmacy-type stuff that people seem to like to spam.
The second hack is "CrackerTracker", which is automatic, and tries to prevent people either hacking the board or posting "dangerous" material; CT is the one that may occasionally give you problems since it's automatic and not always perfect. I apologize if anyone's had their posts blocked/deleted, but unfortunately because of the jerks/idiots/eeeeeeeevil dudes that like spamming forums, these hacks are necessary. Even with them the admin and mods have to manually delete several spam posts/threads per day.

I am against the word "o nomatopoeia"! Thus, henceforth, it shall be banned from the forum! I, emmzee (not "Emmzee") have spoken!

Onomatopoeia (occasionally spelled onomatopœia) is a word, or occasionally, a grouping of words, that imitates the sound it is describing, and thus suggests its source object, such as “bang” or “click”, or animal such as “moo”, “oink”, “quack” or “meow”.
Onomatopoeic words exist in every language, although they are different in each. For example:
* In Latin, tuxtax was the equivalent of “bam” or “whack” and was meant to imitate the sound of blows landing.
* In Ancient Greek, koax was used as the sound of a frog croaking.
* In Dutch, kukeleku indicates the characteristic sound of cocks.
* In Korean, meong meong is onomatopoeia for the sound of a dog barking.
* In Chinese, wang wang is the sound of a dog barking.
* In Japanese, doki doki is used to indicate the (speeding up of the) beating of a heart (and thus excitement).
* Whereas in Hindi, dhadak (pronounced /ˈd̪əɖək/) is the word for a person's heartbeat, indicative of the sound of one single beat.
* In Haitian Creole, beep imitates the sound of a collision (ex. a car crash).
* In Turkish, hapşurmak is the verb for to sneeze, based on the sound "hapshoo" made by a person who sneezes.
Blocking so many meanings, what a shame. Down with the censor!
