Invasion of the Dino-Snatchers is one of many Barney the purple dinosaur related games released for DOS. Unlike most of these games, the objective here is to save Barney, not to kill him. First you must shoot down the alien ships using your missiles, then shoot a balloon to save Barney when he falls so that he doesn't plummet to his doom. The game is a bit jerky with its movement and the gameplay is rather limited, so the game definitely doesn't have a lot of longevity despite its high score tracking. But it does have a nice title screen! And at least here you're not trying to kill a beloved children show character is gruesome ways.
