Defender is a clone of ... Defender. If you've never played the classic arcade game, it's a horizontal shooter where you must eliminate all of the aliens before they abduct all the humans. This version controls fairly well and captures the look and feel of the original game quite nicely. There's the minimap which shows the locations of the aliens and humans, and the satisfaction of blowing up your enemies and seeing them explode in a cloud of pixels. I'm not sure how many levels you get in the shareware version but what's here is pretty good.

Instructions:
Use the numeric keypad to move. TAB or Capslock fires. Spacebar executes a random jump. Insert uses a smart bomb if you have any.

Play Defender in Browser
Game will not be saved after closing your browser. Download and install the game if you want to save.
CTRL-F12 attempts to speed up game, CTRL-F11 attempts to slow it down. See Instructions section above for help playing the game!
