DOSGames.com Review: Rating: 3.5
Zanzi is a game that wears its main influence proudly: It's a Legend of Zelda clone. The feel of the game is clearly inspired by Zelda, with the character gaining a sword near the beginning of the game, going on a quest for the "Mastercrown", the way the screens scroll, etc. However it does some things differently, such as giving you more people to talk with. There is an automap feature which is great. The gameplay is a little clunky (your sword needs a bigger hitbox). But there is a lot to like here in this slightly odd Zelda clone! (This game uses graphics from Ari Feldman's Spritelib which is free for anyone to use. This is probably why some of the sprite choices seem random, like a clown wandering around town ...)
