Vortex is a very simple but somewhat unique action / strategy game in text mode. The object is to pick up and drop blocks to contain the tornadoes. You can carry up to 3 blocks at a time, and can drop then wherever you want. You're safe if you are carrying at least one block or are stationary; otherwise, if a tornado touches you, it's game over. That's pretty much it. It's a difficult game to have success with, since the tornadoes move around randomly and can also move blocks themselves!
