The Need for Slowness is a text-mode falling-down-the-well type game where your only goal is to avoid hitting the walls. That's it, no other obstacles to avoid, no powerups to collect, just avoid hitting the walls. There is difficulty selection (which makes the well / road more narrow) but no other options. The best part of the game may be the intro / "death" animation and other screens, all of which are done using ASCII artwork. Probably Deep or similar games are better examples of this genre.
