Shape Shifter is an RPG by Jeff Kintz (aka J. Kintz) and one of his earliest known games; as such, although it includes some very interesting ideas, it's a bit rough around the edges. As the title suggests, you can shape shift into three forms: A tiger, a snake, and a mouse, each with their own unique abilities. Your goal is to gain enough enlightenment to enter the castle, and to do so you must explore the desert world in which you're placed. The movement is a bit wonky, as your character moves seemingly one pixel at a time, making it a bit of a chore to get anywhere, especially when there are random encounters. There seems to be some real depth to this game though for those willing to put in the effort to explore it.
