Pulsoid is an Arkanoid-like game with high-res graphics and decent production values. It's unfortunately not that much fun to play, but still quite an interesting production overall. It's a remake or take-off of a C64 / ZX Spectrum game called Pulsoids. As mentioned, the graphics and sounds are nice, but the game feels a bit flimsy in the control department, and the balls always bounce at 45 degree angles so controlling its flow is mostly impossible. There are powerups to collect, however one of these is actually a power-down that instantly kills you and looks almost like the other powerups so you need to be careful. There are also a lot of ads and other unnecessary screens before and after you play a game. It does come with a separate editor (EDITOR.EXE) which you can use to make your own levels, which is pretty neat to play with.
