Powball is a nice looking Arkanoid clone. There are various types of blocks to break, various powerups, and a generally appealing interface. The action can get somewhat hectic, what with the explosions and such, especially in two-player mode. You can also use the mouse to move around, which is always a bonus in Arkanoid games. (So much easier than the keyboard!) Overall a well put together game. This game was released as freeware as of July 2000. A new improved version for Windows called Powball Deluxe was released in 2016, also for free.
