Gladiator describes itself as "Gauntlet style", which is somewhat accurate as you move around the maps and destroy monster generators in real-time. However here you have a party of mostly dimwitted computer-controlled characters (or controlled by other players, up to four at once) who also are part of your party. There are seven different classes that you can choose from, each with their own strengths: Soldier, Elf, Archer, Mage, Cleric, Thief, and Druid. The game is a bit rough around the edges but can be fun to play, and since there are multiple difficulty levels, it will continue to challenge you as you get better at playing. (The source code was released by the developers in 2002, and an open source remake is available for Windows and Android here: OpenGlad.)
