Galaxi is, as you might expect, a derivative of the Galaxian series of games, which is itself derivative of Space Invaders! (The author even notes in the docs that this is a "tribute" to the older game(s).) Galaxi thus plays quite similarly to Galaxian: You face wave after wave of enemy ships, which will sometimes break formation and swoop down to attack you. Move left and right, shoot up. Clear all the aliens, move on to the next wave. (You ship actually looks quite similar to the ship in Kiloblaster ... maybe they're the same model?)
