Blinky 2 continues the short-lived Blinky series of games, created using the limited Gamemaker commercial game creation system. Despite the limitations of Gamemaker (the shoddy screen scrolling being one of the most glaring) Jeremy Lamar was able to create a fun and memorable game based on his character Blinky the purple dinosaur. (Unrelated to ... uh, OTHER purple dinosaurs ...) The story involves an evil guy/thing that has taken over Funky Forest. Apparently in order to stop him you must collect / throw / eat a lot of donuts. Makes sense to me. Generally speaking it's an action game with a little bit of exploring. The custom sprites are decent, the music isn't too annoying, and overall it would be a more fun game if it were remade in a modern game-making tool rather than Gamemaker.
