Begin is a Star Trek-type space battle simulation game. You choose which faction you want to represent, and which opponent you wish to face. Your choices are Federation, Klingon, Romulan and Orion. After choosing your ships, you begin the simulation. There are no difficulty levels; you can change the difficulty by how many ships you assign to each side. The game is played by typing text commands, for example "configure ally 6 destroyer flagship". If that sounds fun to you, this might be your game! Make sure you take a look at the "BEGIN.MAN" file otherwise you'll likely have no idea what to do. (Later revisions Begin 2 and Begin 3 were also released by the same author(s), see this site for info.)
