Around the World is a game created using QuickBasic (or QBasic) which is a fairly average platform game, but it plays decently considering its humble pedigree. Your character is an anthropomorphic wolf who has been tasked by a museum director to collect four objects from around the world. To do so, you must run, jump and shoot your way around platforming levels. The shooting mechanic is interesting, but flawed: You must hold down the button to shoot further distances. It's neat but slows down the action a lot as you're constantly pausing to charge up your shot. A short game with decent enough graphics and control.
