Alien Rampage has no connection to either the "Alien(s)" nor the "Rampage" franchises. It's a great looking 2D platform shooting game. (But it's not Alien Carnage, a game by Apogee Software/3D Realms. Lots of games with Alien in the name!) The game's graphics and animations, as well as the abnormally large sprites including your own character, add greatly to the experience. The storyline doesn't really matter; your objective is to run through the levels, finding secrets and gathering bonuses and powerups, all while blowing away all of the enemies in your way. You do find coins which can be used to buy things. The game is rather bloody, with many enemies exploding into a bloody burst when killed.
