DOS 1980s Text Adventure Game "place orb on pedestal" was last command

I played this game back in the late 80s or possibly the very early 90s. This was an interactive text adventure game. I've looked through every database I could find and I've never been able to find hide nor hair of it.

Here's my recollection of the solution to the game:

Leave the town and go to the beach (west, I think?)
Swim to the shipwreck
Get the ball
Swim ashore
Go back past the town and toward the castle.
There's a building, I think a tavern, with a barrel inside it (maybe outside?)
Push the barrel to reveal a hidden passage
Enter it. It's dark, but you have to go deeper in.
There's a completely dark room with an orb in it. You feel like you're being watched. Drop the ball and then get the orb.
Go back to the tavern, then exit it and return to the town.
climb tower
place orb on pedestal

Apart from that I remember that there was a castle beyond the tavern with a dragon in the courtyard. If you follow the dark passage beyond the orb room it comes out inside the castle. There was a way to defeat the dragon but I can't remember it.

I've been trying to find this thing forever. It may very well have come from one of those 5.25" disks that came from computer magazines. I believe I was playing it on a 286 running some old DOS version, but it was so long ago and I was so young; I can't be sure.

Thanks to anyone who can recognize it or come up with a better way to hunt it down than just reading through entire databases.

Maybe "The Usurper" by Sir-Tech?

The Usurper does indeed have an orb which seems important; here is a Mobygames link: https://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/usur ... -of-qyntrr
