Forum for all the suggestions that have 1. nothing to do with our two websites (Dosgames.com/ DosGamesArchive) and 2. are not bug reports.

QuickReply

Post by Joris »

Hiya,

I was browsing at another phpBB forum today and I saw the QuickReply mod. This forum really needs it, it makes posting a lot easier. You don't have to click on the replay button anymore, but you can just type your message in a box that's at the bottom of the page. And oh yeah, it is good for the bandwith :D

later,

Joris

The forum which has it is a closed forum (you need to register first) and the forum is in Dutch so you won't understand much of it... I'll search a forum anyway...

It would be interesting to see it. Albeit, that could be a local mod created by that forum's people for that forum's people.

But if you can find a second example, I'm eager to see it! :)

I'll check it out ... this is a slightly older version of phpbb (this is 2.0.3, newest is 2.0.6) but I'll see if there's a quick-reply hack that's easily available and not likely to screw things up ;)

This forum is 2.0.3?

Code: Select all

This is what it shows at the bottom of each page... :D

Anyway, the quickreply really is a must-have, it makes posting more fun

I doubt you'll have any trouble, Emmzee, this feature has been around for a *long* time.
