Hello, I played this game long ago on an old 486 and thought for old times sake i would play it again. Well first I tried it in ME, bad mistake i know, so i got to my win98 machine and try to play it from a dos prompt.

All the screens look good right up till I am about to take off. When I hit the throtte, the screen just starts to flicker rapidly. I figure maybe a bad download, but new download, same thing. Next i pull an old compaq deskpro P166 out of the closet and load it with dos 6.22, upon trying to play the game, the same exact thing happens, all screens and graphics are fine up till I hit the throttle, then the screen flicker.

It has to be something simple, but what am i missing here?

My guess would be that these systems are simply too fast for the game. I personally recommend Mo'Slo. It is very configurable and should put the brakes on those speedy CPUs.

I actually thought of that too, but ran into problems there as well. To run moslo you need to type in the command to run the game. To run corncob you simply type in "corncob" at the c:\corncob> Problem is in looking at the files in the corncob directory, their is no corncob.exe or corncob.com file to point moslo to, so it doesn't recognize the command "corncob" alone.

look for corncob.bat

So, C:\corncob>Moslo /50 C:\corncob\corncob doesn't work? Maybe TPPatch will work, or CPUKiller. I haven't tried those, however.
