Old strategy/mage game

Hello, i am looking for an old pc game.
If i remember correctly your hero died in the first cut scene, and his ghost came to life.
You now control the ghost around the map, you are flying actually.
You go near to taverns or something to buy troops, control them in the ground.
Use spells, do quests for town etc...
Again, the hero is in the air, and everything else on the ground.
