You can do without, but as most of the screw ups when using dosbox is in the mounts, it's highly advisable to add the lines to dosbox config.

You must have this:

in your start menu items, otherwise something is wrong again.

Yes, use D: in dosbox.
Your mount line would be:
mount d e:\ -t cdrom
Mind the spaces.
Drive letters in dosbox have nothing to see with drive letters that your OS uses.
They're all 'virtual'.

Run Stonekeeper in dosbox on win 7 64 bit

Make sure you have installed Stonekeeper ( see other posts ) and that your stonekeeper disk is in your cd drive

go to the folder where sk.bat is on your pc

open sk.bat in notepad

( copy and paste this to sk.bat. Make sure you change the cd drive letter to yours)

@echo off
mount e e:\ -t cdrom ( put your cd drive letter where mine is e)
set dos4gvm=
E:\data\SK.EXE %1

open dosbox

do the usual mount c and the directory sk is in

eg mount c c:\intrplay\stonkeeper

type c: hit Enter
type cd [type the directory sk is in here] hit Enter
type sk hit Enter

the game will run

playing on Win 7 64 bit
