Sorry for expecting the answer to fall into my lap
Well, i did look at the links, but there aren't really any screenshots and those would be an instant giveaway. I've tried google image search but havnt turned up anything yet.
All i can remember about the game was you start near the shore of an island and for some reason there are loads of pirates there. You could also pick a sword or bow as your starting weapon. It was all drawn with sprites.

Maybe

BTW: click on the screenshots window on the right, you will get plenty of them ;)
Or else look around in the pirate theme on mobys:

They are grouped by years, so you always can narrow your search a bit.

It's Might and Magic 8 (Day of the Destroyer) you're talking about, <a href="http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/m ... creenshots here</a>
Well, MM8 is the one where you begin on an island overrun with pirates :-) I wouldn't call it an FPS, exactly, either! RPG all the way. And I agree with you, Guated - I still play MM6, MM7 & MM8 - they are addicting...Guated wrote:that or Might and Magic 6. It's pretty much a turn based RPG when you push enter it'll pause the game until you take action. I have 4 heros i control that way, then you push Enter again and it'll go back to real time.
Very addicting
