More Advanced Web Componet Support Needed

Post by webmaster from hell »

We need more advanced web componet support for posting. As you can see in my sig, Java scripts barely work, and I have tried to use DHTMl, Java, and other stuff, and they never work at all, or barely work.

I'm probably not going to enable any kind of advanced scripting. The potential for abuse vastly outweighs the potential benefits of turning it on. Also I suspect that using advanced DHTML/JS scripts would probably result in annoying the majority of forum browsers. So unless good reasons (other than aesthetics) can be presented, advanced coding will remain off.

you could always shrink the code down really small (using HTML tags) so that it is barely noticable
