Video card drivers in DOS?

If I'm running a plain DOS 6.22 box with no Windows installed, do I still need to install the video card drivers?

No, but you might need a VESA TSR for your card.

Check out SciTechSoft's collection of their classic VESA TSR's for this purpose ;)
