Hello,
is there anyone who can help me on a problem with emm386?
Mainboard: MSI MS5169 Rev. 4 with AMD K6-II 450
Bios: AMI BIOS 1996 V3.3
OS: parts of DOS 6.0 an Win98SE
emm386.exe 1999 version
The problem is: after running emm386 starting over the config.sys it produces an error (No. 9 or 10 with an older version) and the system hangs up, though I have to restart.
Is this a mainboard problem, BIOS or even a prob with memory configuration (256 MB)? Is there an other way to gain EMS memory and thus conventional memory?
Please help!

Memory Problem - Lack of RAM because of too many memory resourceful programs or system virus.

Thanks for the reply, but now I found out myself.
It was a device-driver which is shipped with a terratec soundcard that caused the problem.
