Wally, quit acting like you kno things. Not only am I a computer technicion, but I think I can tell what the problem is. And if there were wires bernt, what does it have to do with a motherboard? Last I checked, motherboards didnt have wires.
Not only does a BIOS chip not get hot during operation, but if it were a wire, you could replace the power supply.
Not only do I know that it was the processor, but I think I can tell bu the fact that I had it OPEN, on its SIDE, with NOTHING else in it, and was LOOKING AT IT, pretty much proves that I know it's the processor.
So don't even try and act like you know what your talking about, unless you do.
EDIT: After reading your reply again, it looks like you said "wires in the CPU". What the hell? There are no wires IN the CPU!

I didn't say I knew everything, and you should find proof in a form I can read. I don't have adobe acrobat, nor the necessary power to run it.
And the definition of 'wires' depends on your own personal definition. I would refer to them as conductors and transistors, not wires and switches.
I'm sorry, but in no way are you equal to me in technical knowhow.

About $16,000 AUD.
And I just got back from frolicking by the fountain with the garden dwelling underwear eating gnomes that like pasta! On a more serious note, would you mind if I put that in my sig?As an UNIX admin you get approx 40-80 thousand a year..
