Hiya
I keep having flashbacks of this game I played in the mid 90s so I found you guys and maybe you might remember the name of it because I can't remember much of it to know where to start.
I believe I had an Commodore Amiga 500.
I believe it was a sort of platformer side-scroller.
I remember it was some sort of bug man (could be mixing my memories with doodlebug) who had to go though sewers to collect pieces of newspapers or comics which he could jump into and would all have their own self-contained levels. A lot of them were based on really crappy puns like "Fatman" and the like.
I only ever remember having a demo of it from an Amiga magazine or something but this being pre-internet and years after the Amiga was already dead, I don't think I had the option to look into it more.

Found it, turned out to be called "round the bend"

Thanks for the update, good you found it. No insects then, but rats & a crocodile, based off a British TV show.
(The TV show was much better than the game, according to the reviews I saw.)
