I also wonder if you'd consider adding the so-called "Betony Demo" of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall - a large demo that was originally included on a PC Gamer CD. The demo features one area from the full game - the island of Betony - but has some extras compared to the same area from the full game. The demo can be downloaded from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages.
[Edit] Found the demo of Realms of Arkania III: Shadows over Riva:

This one's in German though, but there should be an English version as well.

Towers: Lord Baniff's Deceit is a rather obscure "tryware" first-person perspective RPG that seems to have been more successful on Game Boy Color than on PC. The "tryware" mode of distribution (as detailed out in the readme) means that the game can be freely distributed, but from a certain point in the story, playing without the manual becomes impossible, prompting the player to purchase a manual from the developers.

Hmm, a shareware CD at cd.textfiles.com contains what seems to be playable demos of Ishar 2, Ishar 3 and Hexx: Heresy of the Wizard:

All of those are plain files though, not zipped or anything, but using Free Download Manager or suchlike programme should remedy this small problem

Aethra Chronicles seems like a nice shareware RPG. Here's version 1.1 (split into two files):
http://cd.textfiles.com/pdos9606/GAMES/ ... THR11A.ZIP
http://cd.textfiles.com/pdos9606/GAMES/ ... THR11B.ZIP
The game was distributed via the Scott Miller model, but, according to the information at Demu.org, the "registered" episodes of the game were never made, so the shareware episode is the only one that exists.
