Telengard/ Saving characters
Post by Windriver »
Hello all!!! Anyone know how to save a character? At the prompt as a kid I would have a floppy in the drive. That does not seem to work these days. Any solutions? Thanks

Sorry had to sign up to reply in the same blog. My question still remains though, There is no record of your character when you try to "read" an old one after you have been killed. On the old pcs you had a floppy back-up in the drive. This of course after I am playing the game through Dosbox.
Thanks
Thanks

Upgrade to latest version, that's 0.73.
Mount lines, in other words how do you launch the game in dosbox?
Did you read this: http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5443 ?
Also the usual question: Can't you ask instructions where you downloaded the game?
BTW, the original Telengard had a funny way of working with saved games, it saves them in a 'name_player.PLR' file, but that file is erased when you load the save game, so if you want to keep the saved progress you must back up that file directly after saving your game and before reloading your game.
