Weird emoticon posting

Post by Interon »

Yeah,

I've browsed around and seen people post emoticons without words in the post.
Who keeps doing this?

I made the above two posts to demonstrate my point. Like, is this some sort of practical joke? Is it supposed to be funny and entertaining?

Should we all do this every now and again for personal amusement? What's going on?

I really don't mind that much... it's kind of nice, actually, just letting us know s/he cares... :)

At least you guys included words with the mass emoticons. The other people didn't.

I deleted another all-emoticon post today. I'm starting to think it would be better to require registration for all forums except the main two (Finding Games & Getting Games to Work) ... or maybe for all forums??? But for now I'll leave things how they are.

I think that is a good idea...
make all the forums registration entry except Finding Games and Getting Games 2 Work. Saves guests posting irriatating emoticon message such as:

:cuccoan:  B)  :bday: :D :blah:  :karate:     :( :shame: :) :o :shifty:

I know that Ro@m!! I was making a point of irriating they are, they are just as bad as people who flood conversations in MSN with emoticons, but MSN is improving that to limit of 7 emoticons per post!!
