Not sure why this happened, according to the WHOIS record the ownership hasn't changed and the domain hasn't expired:

So those are both good signs. It may be that the domain DID "expire", Register.com reverted it to the page you now see, the owner renewed it (because even after a domain first "expires" you can still renew it for a period of time) and now they just need to change their nameserver (currently still DNS0*.GPN.REGISTER.COM) to their host's nameserver to get their site back up. This in theory should only take a few seconds to change ... in *theory* ...

Well it was working the morning of the 23rd, it's currently midday on the 25th and it's still down. So let's just hope they're doing maintenance or something and they'll be back soon.

The Underdogs' contract with it's present domain expired several days ago, and probably won't be renewed until next month. Presently, however, it's still possible to access the website in a (limited) manner via it's internet protocol at: http://209.120.136.195 . Hope this gets fixed soon

im telling you... the site td posted works fine... and always has worked fine... try clearing your cache or something.

So you're right, and tens of thousands of people across the internet (including the creator of HOTU herself) are wrong. I don't know what the hell you're trying to do here, Franpa, but please stay out of this thread if you're just going to be a jackass. -DB

Good as you should, my cache is empty and no the site doesn't work going via the URL, thanks for the IP Dogbreath, that one does actually work.

No prob, those as I said, it's limited. Mainly, the game downloads and screenshots don't seem to work, as well as some skins and random features. You can still browse the site and (more importantly) post in the forum, so it should do until the issue is fixed.

Same for me actually, I wouldn't touch their forums with a 10 foot poll. I've been there before and don't plan to go back, and I've gone over my download limit for the month as it is so I should probably try and cut back a little.

TSM: What have you got against their forum exactly? Admittedly, I'm not a regular there, but they seem nice enough and I like their IRC channal.

Saw that too, and I'm sure what they're doing isn't strictly legal... not saying HOTU is a strictly legal site either, but hopefully they'll get their domain back without having to pay even more.

I signed up for their forums seemed ok at first but then weird and often disgusting topics kept popping up and rather then put a stop to it the admins and mods seemed to enjoy participating in them. That and the level of spam was almost unbearable. On the whole it just didn’t seem like a nice place to hang about, the IRC might be different, I don’t know, I haven’t been on there.
