VGN seems pretty good! The site/blog I usually go to for (console) gaming news is Joystiq:

It's in the usual blog format so if you don't like that, you prolly won't like the site (ignore the dumb comments the fanboys post). But its very up-to-date.

Usually I just go to www.powerweb.nl , because it's the site of my favourite gamesmag, but it's not that full of news. I sometimes read the news on www.Games.fok.nl Some are more obvious, like Gamer.nl, or gamespot.nl but I don't visit them that often.
