Any OHR RPG CE People here?

Post by Fortress Games(guestmode) »

The OHR RPG CE is, without a doubt, the best Game Creation Engine I have ever seen. I was wondering if there were any users of it here. If so, I have a great site, two, actually, for you. Renzokuken Message Boards and Castle Paradox. The first site is a message boards which contains a forum specifically for OHR RPG CE. The second also has message boards but also has a gamelist of hundreds of OHR games, including 3 or 4 titles by former incarnations of Fortress, ARTech Games and Link of Hyrule, such as Midnight Rescue and Kidworld II.

(Runs from administrator, who is pissed because I just posted links to sites aside from his) :cuccoan: :cuccoan: :cuccoan:

Without a doubt? I should kill you. You people disgust me.

RPG Maker 2000 is waaaay better. Even RPGToolKit is better.

Or maybe you mean the best DOSRPG GCEngine.

Hence the name "RPG", it likely only makes RPG's. But Megazeux is far more flexible! You can make a game in practically any Genre!! Get a copy today! </advertisement>

There's more GCEs out there. GCEs that weren't made in the 80s.

VB wasn't made in the 80's.

Anyway, I think the best I've seen so far can't do RPGs very well (is great for DM or platform games, though), but is Multimedia Fusion. It makes up for it being so cool with it's price tag, though: $100

Uhm, yeah. You mean Visual Basic? It wasn't even supposed to be able to make games.

And tthey don't have to literally be made in the 80s, it's an expression (as in something's old)

VB is NOT the easiest programming language out there. HTML is the easiest programing language out there. I downloaded MZX a few hours ago, but just got to use it. Scratch the FPS idea, i don't really even get how to use it. Oh well

HTML isn't a game programming language.

The easiest ACTUAL language is QBasic or QuickBasic, I think. Keep in mind that Game Maker, Multimedia Fusion, The Games Factory, AGS, and others are not languages, but GCS's. It's gotta be code to be a programming language, I think.

Yeah, Da_Goat is right.

Programming Languages need compiling to work.

Scripts don't need compiling, but they need a 'translator' to work. (i.e. IE for html)

Da_Goat: When I clicked that link, nothing was found. Either a) There was something wrong with the server, or b) You noticed that something was wrong with the link, so you fixed it, and then you pretended that nothing was wrong! YOU FRAMED ME!

Amro: You don't know me, and I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't make comments about me like that. But if you think I am doing something really immature, then yes, let me know.

I found out what it was: I looked at it with the search engine, and that goes away after 24 hours.

Just go to "Advanced Search" and go to development tool: Visual Basic, on http://www.gamehippo.com
