OT: I found a few BGI Borland Graphics utilities, like more drivers and a vector Font Editor when going through my archives. Language shouldn't matter, but they should be setup for Turbo C & C++ or Turbo Pascal.

Would you be interested in them? They were distributed on BBSs, so should be fine to copy around, AFAIK. If you aren't doing BGI stuff or aren't interested, no worries.

I've come across a variety of C & Pascal DOS code libraries, from "Dos Info" to "Menu system for text apps". If that sounds interesting to you, I could put them up on a page, just let me know!

Quadko, I'm always interested in Borland stuffs.

Although I don't like to pay for the official ones when I can get away with it.

In fact I've already spent $235.40 USD+ on Borland stuffs officially.

I would like the source to Borland's stuff.

Unfortunately the mail bounce the last I sent to them.

So I don't want to take a risk and buy anymore.

Just in case they've moved.

So the short answer is I'm interested however I'd like it officially on disc.

If it's not official it should be from Borland's official website.

I have to confess that the photo images could not been possible without Sir David Brackeen's input on 256 color VGA.

I have to confess that you got me started, Quadko, in assembly a bit. Even though the gamepads you recommended doesn't work on my Mac I keep it for memories sake.

I still remember my "friends" in the back of my mind. Maybe you don't see your credits anymore. However I still remember you.

The graphics I'm doing not is pure "int 10h".

Nothing special.

I'm just actually "bufferring" it elsewhere before I move to the A000H

So for instance, in order to eliminate flickers I would draw at 5000H

Then once ALL the drawings are done they are move with "int 10h"

I would use A000H except someone complained their system wouldn't take it.

So "int 10h" seems to work in all if not all situations? hehe

If you notice the special effects are slower.

However it doesn't really matter since I'm bufferring first.

I could take forever because the pre-bufferring eliminates the flicker.

According to my experience:

Triple buffer just means using a third screen as the original artwork screen.

Once you buffer you drawings to 5000H and move it to the viewing screen,

Then you use the third buffer and wipe 5000H clean.

This gives it the original canvas to draw again on.

There was something in drink I was drinking recently.

Before I filtered it with Brita Filter the drink would make me sleep shortly.

It could be something in the coffee however now I filter so don't know.

Now I would make 12oz of coffee and then put it through the Brita Filter.

Then I would pour the filtered coffee onto a full cup of ice.

Delicious

Knowing me for 12 months + now you know I'm NOT joking (not j/k).

You know @Quadko:

Borland BGI has pretty neat presentation graphics.

However I did some pretty heavily involved work to make my own.

This is because Borland BGI is limited to 16 colors.

That's why I've develop my own routines for fonts.

(mainly for Mr David Brackeen's 256 color VGA introduction)

I never got to thank you officially in a post Quadko.

When I was first starting on this BBS a year or such time ago you cared.

You were always around and helps me on my way.

Thank you!

I see you trying to help out these days with finding games.

I hope the people know at least you tried if the game's not found.

In this previous helicopter sort of mini game there is just another routine.

The function bfg8000d(............) has been added.

If you look at the sprites you could make it into your own.

For instance you could make it an outline of your girlfriend boyfriend and such.

It is an image 24 pixels wide by 24 pixels high.

Niftyist is Mechanized Memory Droid, an ASCII psudo-Roguelike/Kroz-like game where you're disinfecting computer viruses out of memory with a little robot.
