It is included as a bundle the last I checked.

However Borland Turbo Assembler 2.51 is included in Borland C++ 2.0 pack.

God, Jesus, and Mary!

To make your life easy, I would recommend starting out with BASIC.

Do it for a while to get a feel for it.

It contains all the logic necessary for furthering your programming.

After learning BASIC everything is downhill.

Many of you are probably debating whether you should get the Borland Turbo C 2.01 which is free and buy the Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 separately. Some of you may even wonder if you should get Borland Turbo C++ 2.0 or something else. If you can afford it I would recommend getting both if you are serious since a subject can be hard to understand. So referring to the supplemental resources could clear all up for you.

However if you cannot afford it, just stick with what you have. Appreciate what you have. I know my cousin likes open source. He really prefers Android rather than iPhone. My uncle also prefers Android.

The funny thing is I have an application out for Android however I prefer Apple hehe However, only a handful of people use this game since it overheats the Samsung phone. I do not know if it is a glitch or what however it just overheats the phone. So we just keep it closed to the public for fear that others would complain.

The point I am making is if you have open source then use that. If you are closed source enjoy your private funding.

Thank you God for all I have for the rest of the way#!!

For those of you who are trying to find an official what seems to be factory sealed copy of Borland Turbo Assembler 2.51, it is included in this Borland C++ 2.0 bundle. In fact, I just saw one advertised on eBay like last week for about $350 USD in floating around in Germany. I do not know if it would work for the US DOS machines though. Not only that, but the language might be in German so that might be a problem.

Now that I have Borland C++ 2.0 installed on MS-DOS 6.22 I wonder what would be different if anything. Supposedly if you have Borland C++ 2.0 you ARE a professional developer using C and/or C++. I guess we will just have to wait and see what becomes of this writer hehe

Although Borland C++ 2.0 has an extremely strict license agreement it has helped me to catch a subtle error at least once. I have to confess that I ported Borland C++ 2.0 codes over to Borland Turbo C 2.01 about 10% of the time. The reason I am doing this is to keep the agreement I have with the public for open source. If I keep it in Borland C++ 2.0 codes it would be for pay. In other words, Borland C++ 2.0 codes are meant to be sold commercially. That is why source codes for Borland C++ 2.0 is not allowed to be published.

So you take what you can get. I'm humble that I have to use Borland Turbo C 2.01 and Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 90% of the time since that is the only way I stay active. So being a professional is not all that it seems.

A professional has to package everything in a box, copyright the codes, and such.

Being an independent developertn I get enough freedom to produce good enough quality DEMOs without all the delays in preparing the final product.

My aim is not to make money. Like Lisa Su from AMD, my aim is to be in the developertn hobby for the remainder. I would rather be doing what I enjoy all my life than to do it for a short lived outcome.

In fact, "longevity" as Lisa Su likes to put it is in line with what my real dad wants. He always wanted me to be an Engineer which spritingly Su is. I'm not that good and smart to make it an engineer and that is okay. My father told me he goes easy on me and gives me a second option. I get to be a programmer. hehe I like Lisa Su's style. She is laid back and non confrontational. My mom Huong Thi Vu would like that in me.

Thank you God for my two real parents!

By the way, I have to compliment NVIDIA for being a star. So each has their points. Did you know I have an NVIDIA card? The funny thing is I always thought AMD overheated too much in the past. Now I don't know. hehe So who knows.

For those of you who are interested, there is one on eBay in Germany.

The language is Deutsche if I'm not mistaken.

However you might be able to get by with that one.

Unfortunately you might have to translate it.

However it is the only one I can find on eBay right now.

Here is a simulation of a twirling obstacle across the clear and safe way.

It is done all in Borland C++ 2.0 except I did use the MS-DOS editor some.

It doesn't have the copy function that I wanted in there.

However it does have that professional feel to it in my opinion.

Well currently within the last 5 hours there were at least 2?

One only has hours left to be on the shelf.

The other maybe days.

If you zoom in you should be able to see:

Borland Turbo Assembler
Borland Turbo Debugger (disassemble of sorts)
Borland Turbo Profiler (efficiency test of sorts)

It should be listed in the back of the box.

However if you are scared like I am just get mine.

It's not the same thing however it is Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1.
It is also Borland Turbo C 2.01.

I might put up the full version of Borland C++ 2.0.

The only thing is its still being sold it looks like.

So right now I'm holding back just in case.

However the alternate above from me does the same job.

I just ask that you pay Borland the same price if you are satisfied.

If you currently don't have enough then there's a case by case basis.

The point is Borland needs money to support their family like everyone else.

My full name is Nguyen Khoa Tien. If Borland chooses that I wish to take their software off my link (I only have 1 link to their Borland Turbo Assembler 5.0 bundle which includes Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 for DOS, Borland Turbo Debugger, and also a separate package from another website that is Borland's sister site that has Borland Turbo C 2.01 that is free for registered users) then please let me know. It is my full intention that my students have the full resources however I don't know my own situation. Anyways, Jesus Christ please have Borland contact me if they wish to remove the link. That way I know to let everyone know they are still selling their products officially. It has been over 12 years since I last heard or such hehe

Well, my link for Borland Turbo Assembler 5.0 has been taken out. So I guess Borland is still selling it. For what it's worth Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 for DOS that comes with Borland Turbo Assembler 5.0 combined with Borland Turbo C 2.01 are still worth it from the point of view that it teaches you to work from the bottom up. Remember this, if you build a house knowing a solid foundation then the house will stand the test of time.

So for beginners I would recommend the above Borland Turbo Assembler 5.0 that includes the Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1. Also you need to get the Borland Turbo C 2.01. However according to the updated product brochure the professional version of Borland Turbo C 2.0 contains Borland Turbo Assembler too!

If I had kids I would want my kids to learn from the bottom up in a safe and happy manner. So I want them to know what it takes to work from the bottom up. However, after they understand the full concept and are used to hard work... Then they can start to use the newer products that combine processing and makes their life easier.

The point being that if something goes wrong you can return to the roots and do it the hard way if necessary. So that's why coding in all numbers is valuable. It shows how far we've come. We can still do it that way however it is unnecessary.

Jesus Christ!hehe One thing I stress is to work from the bottom up and not skip a step. If I had started with Borland C++ 2.0 bundle I would've been spoiled and not known what a blessing it is. I would have taken it for granted and maybe squandered it away.

Put the link into the first post of this thread.

Don't worry Wally.

It's no big deal.

I started another thread on Borland Turbo C 2.01 since that is official.

In fact it is freeware so long that you don't get money from it.

Anyways I'm really not that good.

I know how to do Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 and that's it.

I've lost my edge on the other languages.

You just lose it being so focused like I am on Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1.

Here is Borland C++ 3.1.

It advertises in the back of the box that it includes:

Borland Turbo Assembler
Borland Turbo Debugger
Borland Turbo Profile

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Borland-C-3-1-F ... 2a56b27916

You can get Borland Turbo C 2.01 on their sister website.

The most important thing is getting the Borland Turbo Assembler.

Many of you may be frustrated that there may not be verifiable one to buy.

Please check out the above link.

According to them they have the official Borland Turbo C 2.01.

This is the very one I received from them just by registering online.

This is the very same Borland Turbo C 2.01 continue to be use today.

The next thing you need is the Borland Turbo Assembler.

Please contact them and see if they have the professional one.

The professional package should contain all you need.

The only other thing I use is Windows XP Home.

I use XP home because it is fast and works on modern CPU.

Creating programs using the Windows Notepad is a miracle.

Also, you can test your DOS creation right in the DOS prompt.

Of course like Quadko says it's not the right speed.

So to fine tune it please use DOSBox like leilei says.

My father started programming many years ago. He knows of FORTRAN and such. So I kind of take after him in that sense.

My mother started working diligently when he was very young. She was forced to be straight and narrow. So she always tells me to be nice because she wish she had that childhood.

My two sisters sufferred much horrors in their lives. So they deserve a good life now.

Thank you God!

Thank you mom, Huong Thi Vu.
Thank you dad, Nguyen Binh Thuy.

Thank you sis Nguyen Khoa Thi.
Thank you sis Nguyen Khoa Thuyen.

I hope you enjoy the programming package from Embarcadero. Hopefully they still sell the professional one.

If you need help in your programming and the Borland books and manuals don't cover it, please see my source codes.

For instance at the time I received their manuals they only covered EGA or such. It was David Brackeen who introduced me to VGA 256 color mode graphics.

Then Quadko introduced me sometime around there to programming game controllers.

@pseudocoder is always the master at C since his codings are always professional looking and organized.

@MrFlibble many helpful times.

@Wally - no comment hehe, actually I have to thank him for keeping me in check once.

@"the rest of the admins and mods": I know you're checking my stuffs out although my download count is not working. hehe Even if you're not it's understandable. If I downloaded every little update I think I need to be paid at least Bill Gates worth. just kidding

Accoring to theory if it is you belonging then it is your belonging hehe

So what if you have a soulmate?????

What if she is with someone else?????

I guess that theory does not hold water right?? hehe

So what if you use the word "soulmate" then it means nothing.

Maybe it is my soulmate for a time
