How to Save State using DOSBox or DBGL: DOSBox Game Launcher

Post by DosGamer85 »

I was wondering if there are hotkeys to save state using DOSBox or DBGL: DOSBox Game Launcher? I do not know how to save state and did not see anything in the documentation.

I don't think vanilla DOSBox has save states. DBGL is just a frontend and cannot have more functionality than DOSBox.

Save states are available in DOSBox SVN Daum and possibly other builds. Press Alt+F5 to save, and Alt+F9 to load a saved state.

You may use the excellent GameWizard 32 by Ray Hsu And Gerald Rickman.
It save (under real dos) the computer state and enable to restore later.

Itried both ISO and <zipped> not released to freeware by original authorsi --486 player

ISO has a file called M and the file sizes in it aren't same as actual ones.

I unzipped it onto hard disk into floppy too, but the result's the same. Installer and Working Install Files hangs too.

Can't find it anymore, so I can't test it. (The copy I had destroyed disks, no other operation does it.)
