Pitfall The Mayan adventure, on 98, xp or 7!

Post by Pitfallfan »

Hi!

I've tried desperately to run Pitfall The mayan adventure on my Windows 7 computer. I've created 2 virtual machines, one using windows 98SE and another with Windows XP. The game won't work on any of these OS.

Does anyone know how to get past the "Pitfall must be played using the CD-ROM" -sign??

I've seen this topic on on many forums, but i have never seen anyone who was able to answer it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Didn't you downloaded a CD image?

BTW, isn't that game released as freeware...?

Hey, I think I still have the original Pitfall CD that came with a Windows 95 PC I once had. I'll look for it at home and keep an eye on this thread... =)

UPDATE: I found it!

It was kind of "the first platform game for Windows 95" or something like that. It came on a CD with new OEM PCs.

BTW Pitfallfan, have you tried to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 95?
